What is Conditional Simple II?

The Conditional Simple II is uses to express situations or events that are unlikely to happen. When we uses Conditional Simple II about dreams, wishes or situations that are contrary to fact.

We use Second Conditional II to talk about Present of Future situations we think are impossible or Unlikely to happen

  • I might work harder if they paid me better
  • if you really wanted to help you would be trying harder
  • If you studied harder, you could do better at school
